update

Seriously the squat challenge... SO HARD! I do feel a difference though! I'm on day 17 and I have to motivate myself to do every single squat! It's a great feeling though when I'm done though. What I've been doing to be able to do all the squats is that I will break the squats into sets. When I'm at home I will do it through out the day. I also do some kind of work out video. When I make it to the gym I will add 5 pound weights to get a deeper work out. After each set of squats I do, I will then go on the stair machine for 5 minutes. I can really feel it working and feel that my butt is getting more firm!!

day 17

The plank challenge is getting more tough. It isn't as hard as the squat challenge that's for sure!
I'm up to 2 minutes right now. I also do other core strengthening work outs to build up my abs.
I can feel the muscle in my stomach but I know it will be awhile till it shows. I still have the mommy belly and know getting my stomach back will take a little bit longer.

A day at the museum

During the week we don't get to go out much because Jorge usually doesn't get home till later from work. If we do get to go out together it's usually to the gym during the week days. The weekends is the only time we have time to go out. We are going to try to do something different every weekend to be able to see everything in D.C. Since it was so windy yesterday we couldn't do anything outside. We decided to go check out the natural history museum. There are so many different museums in D.C. I'm so excited to see what the other ones look like!

Jorge loved it

Turtle turtle!

Liam had a really good time.

I can't wait till Liam is older to be excited about seeing new things.

So excited to see the dinosaurs!

I really HATE spiders! For some reason though
when I see them in a glass case where they can't crawl anywhere
near me I always want to see them.

These beetles remind me of the movie The Mummy.

Rainy day

Hats are great accessories to wear! I love them, especially for moms when you don't have time to wash your hair... Yesterday was raining and I thought this outfit would be perfect to wear. The weather out here is awesome and feels like April! Bring in the rain!

Not missing Cache Valley Weather
at all!

LOVE this weather!

Most of the items I'm wearing are from my closet that I've had for awhile.
The hat I got last weekend and put this outfit together to wear it!

double time

This is for all those breast-feeding mamas out there! Did you ever think breast-feeding would be so hard and time consuming? No one tells you how hard it can be. For me it felt like having two jobs, taking care of Liam and feeding him. I usually had to plan my whole day around feeding times, which was very annoying and got old pretty quick! Liam was never able to latch on well, so I had to pump, then I would feed him from a bottle. I’ve wanted to stop so many times and it’s been a very frustrating time for me. It takes me twice as long to feed Liam, and the main reason I keep doing it is because I know giving him what people call “Liquid gold” will benefit him. Babies who consume breast milk tend to be smarter and they do not get sick as often, I know that I can switch to formula anytime, but I keep reminding myself that Liam would miss out on all the benefits from breast milk. I’m not saying formula is a bad thing, I just feel like I’m giving up on something that some women aren’t able to provide to their babies, and that is not fair.

I don’t know if other moms have had easier experiences than mine, this is just what I have experienced with breast-feeding. I’m not trying to discourage anyone; I’m solely expressing what I am going through, so that women who are going through the same thing know they aren’t alone. This is my experience and I want to let moms that breast-feeding can be challenging, but just remind yourself of all the benefits you are providing for your little one, don’t give up!
